A mandatory evacuation has been issued for all residents in Port Neches, Groves and Nederland following a second explosion at the TPC Group Plant facility in Port Neches on Nov. 27. A Red Cross shelter is being set up in Ford Park in Beaumont.

One of the keynote speakers, Sister Patricia McCormack, IHM, offered insights on how parents can help participate in the faith formation of their children and youth.
The faithful gathered for a prayer service Nov. 3 at the St. Martin de Porres Mission in Cheek to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Martin de Porres. “As I was reflecting on the life of St. Martin de Porres and really all of the saints, they have something to offer us—an example, an inspiration, a direction,” Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, said.
Nov. 1 is All Saints Day. In honor of the Holy Day of Obligation, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, Beaumont, students, staff and community members celebrated the Parade of Saints Mass. The Mass included a procession with students dressed as saints.
