Along with worship, workshops also drew Youth Convention participants closer to Christ, including the “You’ve Graduated High School…Now What?” workshop presented by Kelly delaRosa and students from Lamar University’s Catholic Student Center.
According to delaRosa, campus minister coordinator at Lamar, the largest rate of Catholics leaving the faith is between high school and college
“The workshop gave Catholic Student Center students an opportunity to give kids guidance on how to keep Jesus as the center point of their faith through the college experience.”
Other convention workshops covered life’s stress and struggles, relationships, leading and playing music in a worship band, cultural differences and other topics.
