You have made a difference in the life of flood victims. Though donations given by parishioners from throughout the Diocese of Beaumont, almost $100,000 was collected to help local flood victims.
On May 5 Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, presented Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas with a check for $98,000.
“We are able to give this to you through the great generosity of the Catholic faithful of Southeast Texas,” Bishop Guillory said.
After the flooding in several areas of the diocese Bishop Guillory asked that second collections be taken up in the parishes and missions throughout the Diocese of Beaumont.
These funds will help about 300 families with ongoing recovery and will be administered through the Disaster Response ministry of Catholic Charities.
