St. Anne Parish is inviting Catholics from all parishes in the Diocese of Beaumont to its Winter Mission Jan. 14-18 to explore the symbols of the Catholic faith on a journey to conversion.
The mission, presented by Redemptorist missionary Father Peter Schavitz, C.Ss.R, will feature an evening service at 6:30 p.m. all five days, with an 8:15 a.m. Mass with a homily Jan. 15-17. Redemptorist parish missions aim to provide a positive experience of God, leading to a personal and ongoing conversion in a community setting. Some of the elements of the mission include preaching, reconciliation, fellowship, and prayer.
The five-day event will have presentations and activities for all ages. All children 10 and older are encouraged to attend the mission presentations each evening with their parents, while students in kindergarten through fourth grade are invited to attend specially planned events for them. Babysitting services will be provided for younger children. There will be gatherings after Mass each morning and a reception after each evening service.
There is no charge for the mission. Attendees can attend one, more or all of the presentations at St. Anne’s church and parish hall located at 2715 Calder Ave. in Beaumont.
Reservations are not required. For more information, visit www.stannebmt.org.
