Health is an important factor in to remember in ensuring to continue God’s good work. And, due to the dedication of the community, free medical and social services were provided at the St. Katharine Drexel Health Fair Feb. 23 at Martin Luther King Middle School in Beaumont.
Health care checks were available including screenings for vital signs, hearing, vision, dental, and other medical screenings to those in need. Children’s books, face painting, and other activities were also available, along with lunch. Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, gave the blessing and opening prayer at 10 a.m. for all of the volunteers and participants.
