25 years of divine blessings

Father Augustine Wall, S.V.D, pastor of St. Pius X, Beaumont, celebrated his 25th anniversary of ordination Saturday April 2 during the Divine Mercy Sunday Vigil.

Father Wall reflected on his blessings as a priest during his homily.

“On Divine Mercy Sunday, we celebrate the the blessings we have received from God,” he said. “And I am so blessed to have so many who have come to celebrate my 25th anniversary with me.”

He went on to say God has shown him His mercy through the people He has put in his life, such as his great-grandmother who paid for his seminary education.

More than just St. Pius X parishioners gathered to celebrate with Father Wall, but a priest friend from India working in Houston drove in to join the celebration. Father Wall also had many guests come to visit from Dallas.

A reception was held following the Mass where Father Wall was given flowers and a feast.
