Support priests with contributions to the Infirm Priests’ Fund
The Catholic faithful of Southeast Texas will have the opportunity this September to give back to the priests who have dedicated years of active ministry to the tireless care of the faithful through the years.
The second collection on the weekend of Sept. 16-17 at all parishes and missions in the Diocese of Beaumont will benefit the Infirm Priests’ Fund. This collection is a chance for parishioners to help provide needed medical and emergency health care support to priests who are retired or ill.
With a number of diocesan priests becoming older as they handle workloads in ministering comes the increased risk of health problems, some catastrophic.
And just like most people, they have insurance. However, insurance does not cover all their costs. So the Infirm Priests’ Fund helps give to those who have given a lifetime.
This second collection blesses the faithful with the opportunity to help support the care of the priests in the diocese who have so lovingly served them.
Thanks for considering supporting retired and infirmed priests.
