Students give back to the community

“It’s a work day where students give back to their community,” said Jean Peyton, office manager of Msgr. Kelly Catholic High School, Beaumont. Kelly High School held its eighth annual Spring into Action service day March 29. Students and staff took a school day off to volunteer in completing service projects for 39 local non-profit organizations and agencies. The locations of the service projects include Beaumont Heritage Society, Nutrition & Services for Seniors, Some Other Place, Southeast Texas Food Bank and St. Anne, Beaumont, Giving Field.
