“I think we have done as a partnership some wonderful things,” Bishop Curtis Guillory, SVD, said at St. James Church, Port Arthur, during a Mass of Thanksgiving in Gratitude Sept. 10.
Bishop Guillory said working with the faithful has resulted in a number of accomplishments for the Diocese of Beaumont, including the chapel for the Catholic Student Center at Lamar University, raising funds for Catholic education, the Convocation of Catholic Leaders as well as other achievements.
The Mass honored him for his 18 years of ministry and service.
The final Mass of Thanksgiving in Gratitude for Bishop Guillory’s episcopacy takes place tonight, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Church, 2590 US 190 West in Livingston. A reception will follow Mass.
