The high school youth of the diocese laced up their sneakers and faced off against each other at the diocesan youth kickball tournament Nov. 14.
This year’s tournament had to be rescheduled from its original date of Oct. 10 due to rain, but the youth were eager to cash in that rain check and determine which teams had the skills.
The tournament composed of 16 teams represented by 20 parishes was held at the Beaumont Athletic Complex, Beaumont.
The team of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Port Arthur, and St. Mary, Fannett, placed first. Our Lady of Sorrows, China, youth came in second, and Our Mother of Mercy, Beaumont, placed third.
