Msgr. Kelly Catholic High School, Beaumont, was the place to be Aug. 20 as students, alumni, parents and staff from Kelly High School, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School, Port Arthur, St. Anne Catholic School, Beaumont, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica School, Beaumont, and All Saints Episcopal School, Beaumont, gathered for a community pep rally to kick off the 2009-2010 school year.
The cheerleaders from the five schools got the crowd pumped with skits and cheers, but it was the Kelly bulldog mascot that had the crowd rolling with laughter as it strutted around donning a cape and dancing with the Kelly cheerleaders.
The evening began with a scrimmage game between the Kelly junior varsity football team and the junior varsity football team from Liberty High School, Liberty. The night was concluded with a scrimmage between the two school’s varsity football teams.
