The 43rd annual diocesan Youth Convention kicked off June 24 at the Westin Galleria, Houston, with more than 800 youth from throughout the diocese. The youth spent hours dancing, playing games, taking pictures and playing Twister on a monsterous inflatable game board. The evening ended with a evening prayer led by Thursday's keynote speakers Doug Tooke and David Casey. The convention will continue through Saturday giving the youth plenty of opportunities to attend workshops presented by national speakers, a talent show, ice-skating in the Galleria, announcement of the 2009-2010 diocesan Youth Board, the Eagle of the Cross Banquet, a dance and the convention will come to an end with the celebration of the Liturgy.
