Transitional Services for St. Mary / Sacred Heart Merger

Transitional Services will be held at St. Mary and Sacred Heart in Port Arthur, TX.

On April 22, 2006:

• 1:00 pm -- gathering and activities at St. Mary Parish Hall
  • 1:00 pm - Prayer and Liturgy of the Word
  • 1:45 pm - Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament
  • 2:00 pm - Confessions
  • 2:30 pm - Rosary Procession with Marian Songs
  • Litany of the Sorrowful Mother
  • Intercessions
  • Fellowship break
• 4:30 pm -- Mass followed by procession of Blessed Sacrament to Sacred Heart
  • 4:30 pm - Mass in St. Mary Parish Hall
  • 5:45 pm - Procession of all with the Blessed Sacrament through St. Mary Church
  • 6:15 pm - Closing of Doors, formal declaration St. Mary Church is closed
  • 6:30 pm - Procession of the Blessed Sacrament to Sacred Heart (transportation will be available for those not walking)
  • 7:30 pm - Reposition of the Blessed Sacrament at Sacred Heart

On April 23, 2006:

• 9:00 am -- Welcoming Mass at Sacred Heart Parish Hall, celebrated by Bishop Curtis J. Guillory, SVD, followed by a reception
