Temporary Intern - Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas
Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas is seeking a part-time temporary intern to assist the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) staff with parish education, training and outreach, letter and article writing, research, visiting funded groups, and developing relationships with community organizations. This is a paid 20 hours per week ten (10) week position for the summer of 2012. Participation in a May 30-June 1 orientation is required. Part-Time Housekeeper
St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica has an opening for a part time housekeeper. Candidates will be required to perform all duties associated with housekeeping and laundry including but not limited to: dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and other cleaning duties; washing, drying, ironing of laundry; and maintaining cleaning supplies. Director of Criminal Justice Ministry
The Diocese of Beaumont has an opening for a Director of Criminal Justice Ministry to represent the diocese by providing spiritual support to Catholic staff, volunteers, and the incarcerated through programs, services and materials. Interested party must be in good standing and an active participant in the work of the Catholic Church, possess good leadership skills, have an active faith life, be able to work collaboratively with others, and have previous experience in developing and administering programs to meet assessed needs. Bachelor’s Degree preferred with a certification in chaplaincy as well as knowledge of Catholic sacramental theology. Individual must be a self-starter, service oriented, able to deal with multiple tasks, have skills in program design, and be able to work and communicate both verbally and in written form effectively with people of various ages, backgrounds and cultures, collaborate as a team member and maintain confidentiality. Candidates must abide by the rules and regulations of each institution and take proper steps to enable clearance in all units. Part-Time Cook
Part-time Cook needed to assist in the kitchen of the Diocese of Beaumont Holy Family Retreat Center. Skills needed are knowledge of meal preparation, baking, and ability to estimate food quantity for events and knowledge of kitchen clean up. Individual must be organized, able to meet deadlines, and promote a harassment free work environment. Applicant must be a self-starter, service oriented, and able to deal with multiple tasks. A minimum of six months to one year experience in kitchen work is required for this approximately 4 hours per week position. Evening and weekend work is required for this position.
