Videographer/Production Coordinator

The Diocese of Beaumont is seeking applicants for Videographer/Production Coordinator in the Department of Stewardship & Communications. Qualified candidates will support and advance the mission and vision of the Diocese of Beaumont through the production of videos by creating and developing visual illustration and storytelling across multiple platforms, using both photography and videography, to inform, engage and educate. The position will act as a public ambassador through community outreach and will connect with people through various social media using creativity, experience and dedication to contribute to the growth of the Diocese. The Coordinator will work with the Communications Team, (reporters and other phot ographers) to improve content quality and in all aspects of video creation. The Coordinator will not only shoot footage, but edit, create necessary graphics and produce media ready pieces that integrate with scripts often created by other members of the Stewardship and Communications Ministry.  The Coordinator will also be responsible for managing live broadcast when appropriate. Responsibilities also include transporting, setting up, and operating equipment and assisting with staging and set preparation as well as accomplishing the bulk of the technical tasks related to production and post-production. The Coordinator will work with the Associate Director of Communications and the Webmaster/Graphics Coordinator to execute the concept through to completion. A bachelor's degree in communications and 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area or 5 years in communications field is required for this forty hour per week position. Some night and weekend work is required.

The Diocese of Beaumont has an opening for a part-time Computer Support Specialist/Intern to assist the Manager of Information Technology. Knowledge of installation and ongoing support of computer operating systems, computer hardware, and software is necessary. Skills needed are excellent verbal communication and organizational skills, ability to deal with the public, and be detailed oriented.
