Services: The Office of Hispanic Ministry coordinates the pastoral care of Hispanics living in the diocese, tries new methods of evangelization to reach out to the unchurched, and offers encouragement to lay collaborators.
The office gives priority to the formation of lay leaders, to ministry with Hispanic youth, and to visitations of families in their homes. Efforts are made to visit the sick and the elderly.
The office also organizes programs, retreats, workshops, and meetings at diocesan and parish levels. The staff members visit parish communities gathered for Eucharistic celebrations in Spanish, provides information and limited educational materials, and helps with translations.
