Music workshop inspirational

The Offices of African American Ministry and Worship recently sponsored a Gospel music workshop open to choir directors, members and musicians around the diocese.

The workshop was led by clinican W. Cliff Petty assisted by Hollis Johnson and focused of the parts of the Mass, liturgical music, gathering songs and songs appropriate for special feast days.

Participants from throughout the diocese lifted their voices in song during the workshop.


Choir members from different parishes came together at St. John the Evangelist, Port Arthur, for the Gospel music workshop.


The three-day workshop was a time of learning and inspiration for those who attended.
